Inspired by the anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln this past February, I am pleased to present my first kit in a series themed around the American Civil War.
The American Civil War waged for four long years from 1861-1865 across the meadows, through city streets, farms and plantations of America, taking the lives of more than 620,000 soldiers and untold civilian casualties and property losses. In the end, the Union prevailed and the United States remained intact. It is hard to imagine that any of us with roots in the US during this time do not have an ancestor in our tree and a story that shares the reality and courage of those who not only fought, but lived to tell the tale.
Utilizing historic documents such as letters, the Gettysburg Address, battlefield maps and sketches and photos from the field of war, I have put together a collection of backgrounds and elements I hope will find a place of honor in the scrapping of your family's Civil War heroes, modern reenactments, and photographs of your gentlemen and ladies of both the North and South.
This debut mega collection is a collaborative from both sides of the battle and includes:
16 papers with the Gettysburg Address, sketches of the Battle Of Gettysburg and Antietam, President Lincoln, handwritten letters from the front, signatures of major Civil War legends, images of a company of soldiers and Antietam & Gettysburg battlegrounds.
Graphics scanned, created and saved at 300dpi. Kit size is approx 310mg.
Additional coordinating kits coming soon!
